Scooter's Coffee franchisee applies for development of first store in Navarre

A new Scooter’s Coffee shop may be coming to Navarre soon according to site plans filed with Santa Rosa County. The development of the project is still dependent on approval by Santa Rosa County, whose Development Services members will meet to discuss the project Tuesday in a pre-application meeting.

The drive-thru coffee chain appears hopeful that 2023 will be a year of growth, with at least for new locations five planned for the Pensacola area alone. This will be the franchise's first location in Navarre and third location in Santa Rosa County.

What is Scooter’s Coffee?

Scooter’s Coffee has been around for 25 years and has over 600 locations spanning 29 states, according to a statement from the company.

The fast-service model encourages customers to “scoot through faster” using the Scooter’s Coffee app which helps build rewards toward free drinks. The Mobile Order Ahead option helps customers pick up their order straight from the drive-thru window.

What will the new Scooter’s Coffee look like?

The store is planned to be 664 square feet and its drive-thru is planned to have two lanes. An accompanying parking lot will also be built for the new Scooter’s Coffee.

The site plans filed with Santa Rosa County indicate that the building will be constructed following plans identical to the makeup of other Scooter’s Coffee franchises.

Where will the new Scooter’s Coffee be?

Should the project be approved, the new Scooter’s Coffee and its parking lot would be built along Navarre Parkway on a .76-acre parcel according to its Detailed Parcel Report from Santa Rosa County's. Once construction has completed, the new store will be the first of the franchise to open up in Navarre. A specified address is not yet available for the project pending approval.

There are three other Scooter’s Coffees between Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. One is in Brent, another is in Gulf Breeze and the last is its newest location in Pace, which opened up earlier this month.

Who owns the new Scooter’s Coffee in Navarre?

The owner of the parcel has not been listed in the project documents filed with Santa Rosa County, but the applicant for the project is a financial advisor working for First Command Financial Services in Shalimar.

The owner of the parcel where the project would be developed is the Brown Ronald A Trustee ET AL, according to its parcel report with Santa Rosa County.
