Scores of Passengers Wait at Amsterdam Airport Amid Travel Disruption

Long lines of travelers were seen at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport on Saturday, July 2, as the facility struggled to accommodate holiday crowds due to staff shortages and delays.

On Thursday, the airport said the volume of passengers for July was expected to exceed the maximum security capacity, and there would be “1000 passengers locally departing passengers too many each day in the first week of August.” The airport also said it was working on staffing issues.
