TAUNTON— It was a busy weekend for high school sports in the Greater Taunton area.

HIGHLIGHTS: Connor McGrath and Tre Nadeau both netted a pair of goals for the Tigers while Colton Scheralis had three assists, Dylan McCaughey had two assists and Drew Nadeau, Breighdyn Simmons and Travis Cashman all had an assist and goalie Cam Tomaszycki made 21 saves in net.

HIGHLIGHTS: Michael Leskoski (113), Xavier Sandoval (132), Ben Mandeville (145), Ethan Harris (182) and Logan Frank (220) all finished first in their respective weight classes while Brian Haen (126) finished second and Gabriel Leskoski (160) and Avery Justa (195) finished third. Johnnie Mainer-Smith (106), Ryan Jones (120) and Bobby Tran (285) all came in fourth.

HIGHLIGHTS: Tanisha Whiteside (116-124) and Elijah Prophete (195) both finished first in their respective weight classes while Mel Jesus (169-197) and Landen Rodriguez (126) finished second, Mikayla Sheehan (116-124) and Pierre Louis (195) finished third and Giovanni Perez (170) came in fourth.

Boys Basketball: Bridgewater-Raynham vs. Westwood
SCORE: Bridgewater-Raynham 57, Westwood 56
LOCATION: Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School

HIGHLIGHTS: Deshawn Faulk hit two free throws with 1.6 seconds left to seal the win for the Trojans in their season opener. Luke Barry led the way offensively with 19 points, including three three-pointers, while Dylan Rodriguez dropped 10 and Tyler Cattoggio had eight points and 12 rebounds.

HIGHLIGHTS: Bobby Manning and Luke Martineau each recorded a goal and an assist while Thomas Leger and Andrew Flanagan also found the back of the net for the Hawks. Goalie Dylan Quinn made 13 saves in net.
