BBC radio presenter Scott Mills has announced his engagement to producer partner Sam Vaughan.
The couple have been together for four years and Mills proposed over the weekend.
Sharing photos of the occasion, the presenter — who hosts shows on Radio 1 and Radio 2 — and his new fiancé marked “the beginning of forever” on Instagram in separate sweet posts.
Mills, 47, wrote: “As [Sam Vaughan] knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.
“You make me laugh every single day, you support me in so many ways and I adore everything about you…”
“As soon as I met you I knew this could be something special and it is (after a slow start)...,” he continued.
“We’ve had some amazing times, and I’m bursting with happiness to know we will have so many more. I love you with all my heart.”
Alongside a picture of his engagement ring, Vaughan added: “The beginning of forever.
“On Saturday the love of my life asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
“I’ve had the most amazing four years and can’t wait to continue our journey!
“I never thought I’d find somebody who’s as obsessed with Sky News as me and I can’t wait to call him my husband!”
In the photos, Mills had decorated a room full of photographs of their four years together, tying them to balloons that floated around them.
The pair can be seen hugging with Vaughan holding a distinctive Tiffany ring box.
In another, the couple are gazing into each others’ eyes as they take in the magical moment.
It didn’t take long for Mills’ famous pals to join in on the celebrations, sharing their congratulations for the couple on Twitter and Instagram.
Matt Baker wrote: “Super news Scott congrats to you and Sam”
“omfg scott!!!!!!! congratulations this is the most wholesome news!!!” added singer Becky Hill.
Joel Corry offered his services to be the DJ at the ceremony, while fellow DJ Sara Cox pitched to be bridesmaid.
Mills retweeted them both, alongside the simple response: “BOOKED”
Meanwhile Rylan poked fun at his own impending divorce in his message, joking: “THE BEST NEWS. I love you both. If you need any marriage advice…..
“P.s. I’m throwing the official engagement party in Turin”
