Scott & Wallace firm delivers Halloween costume treats to three elementary schools
Robert Scott and Clint Wallace, of Scott & Wallace law firm, donated over 150 Halloween costumes to three Title I Elementary Schools as part of their annual Halloween Costume Spooktacular Surprise! this week.
“We’re learning more and more that it’s just building self-esteem for these children to have the opportunity to participate in the school festivities fully dressed in their Halloween costumes. It motivates them and the learning experience is enhanced. Our firm is incredibly blessed to be a part of Tallahassee and support the future of our community,” said Robert Scott, Law Partner at Scott & Wallace.
The firm jumped into action after they learned some of the students would otherwise be unable to afford a new costume this year. This effort comes just in time for the school’s annual Character Day and Trunk or Treat events.
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, during the course of three drop-offs and student “shopping,” Robert Scott and Clint Wallace hand-delivered the costumes to Sabal Palm Elementary, Astoria Park Elementary, and Pineview Elementary.
The principals prepared the students to “shop” the costume racks, pick a favorite, and try them on.
“We have our annual trunk-or-treat and it’s a special treat for all of our kids because it’s a safe place for them to get candy and have a good time. One thing they love to do is wear costumes, so this donation is going to allow every student to dress in character so we’re really excited and appreciate the generosity of Scott & Wallace,” said Shannon Davis, Sabal Palm Elementary School Principal.
