Video Transcript

- Raptors wing Scottie Barnes hasn't always been as aggressive offensively as his team wants him to be but that may be changing. Over the last two weeks, he's providing top-20 value in 9-cat formats. In his last eight games, Barnes is averaging 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 0.6 3-pointers, shooting 53.9% from the field and 77.4% from the foul line.

Just as impressive has been the turnover number with Barnes averaging 1.8 per game over the last two weeks. While he was quiet in a 2-point loss to the Celtics on January 21, finishing with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 5, assists, 3 blocks, and 2 3-pointers in 42 minutes, Barnes has scored 20 points or more in 4 of his last 6 outings. With the Raptors approaching a crossroads of sorts ahead of the February 29 trade deadline, Barnes appears to be the one player we can assume is safe.
