Scranton art thief pleads guilty

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Another person accused of taking part in a national artwork and sports memorabilia theft ring in Lackawanna County has pled guilty.

Friday in court, Dawn Trotta withdrew her plea of not guilty and pleaded guilty to committing the crime.

Doctor sentenced for drug distribution resulting in death

The loot included paintings by Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock which were stolen from the Everhart Museum in Scranton. Nine World Series rings and other items belonging to Yankee Hall of Famer Yogi Berra were also stolen.

All 9 of the suspects have now been caught.
