“I think it’s gonna be about five dollars, so people can donate. That’s another way to raise a little bit,” added Michael Strasburger the karaoke host.

The fundraiser Saturday night had people enjoying the festivities, eating food, and buying raffle tickets for a lot of prizes.

“We’re doing a raffle for him we had about 30 local businesses that donated so we’re gonna be doing a ticket raffle and then we’re doing all proceeds for beer liquor and food sales today are gonna go to Kyle Gilmartin and his family,” explained Shawn Gill owner of 1905 Tavern.

All the gifts that were donated were piled on top of the pool table.

“We got t-shirts tattoo gift certificates, shifts gift cards, pizza gift cards, Mendocino, Jordan’s Towing, Idol Hour Lanes, and local barbershop. There’s a lot of them,” continued Gill.

As the word got out more people began to show up for the Gilmartin family

“We were at a different karaoke event and they were like you gotta come down you gotta see what’s gonna happen so we sort of figured it’s always nice to support,” says Angelica Edwards from Jermyn.

The owner of the 1905 tavern and the staff were happy to help.

“I actually donated a couple of baskets and I’m gonna put some tips towards it,” added Vasky

“I have family in law enforcement and would expect and hope that people will do the same,” said Gill.
