Scranton firefighters respond to hospital for window AC malfunction
Jul. 10—The Scranton fire and police departments responded to a report of a possible fire at the Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital on Saturday around 2:15 p.m.
It turned out there was no fire, but an air conditioner in a window in a rear section of the hospital had a smell of burning wires and was removed, Scranton Assistant Fire Chief Jeff White said.
The scene was cleared in a matter of a few minutes, he said.
