Scranton School District sets town hall meetings for school closures

Nov. 4—The Scranton School District seeks community input on the school reconfiguration plan. The following town halls will take place this month at the schools slated for closure:

John Adams, 927 Capouse Ave., Nov. 9, 6 p.m.; Charles Sumner, 372 N. Sumner Ave., Nov. 17, 5 p.m.; and William Prescott, 840 Prescott Ave., Nov. 21, 6 p.m.

Translators will be present in-person or via phone. All visitors will be screened through metal detectors. Purses and bags, except 4-inch by 6-inch wristlets, will be prohibited.
