‘I Screamed,’ Says Gabby Petito’s Father Upon Learning Her Fiancé Refused To Talk To Police

Joseph Petito says he last spoke to his daughter Gabby on August 21, 2021. At the time, the 22-year-old was traveling across the country with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, and they were in the western part of the United States. Joseph says the last communication the family received from Gabby’s cell phone was August 30. It is reported that Laundrie returned to his parents’ house in Florida September 1 -- without Gabby. Joseph claims Gabby’s family reached out to Laundrie -- who is now also missing -- and his family to get any information about Gabby’s whereabouts but that no one returned a call or text message. It is reported that Laundrie also refused to speak to police. “I screamed. My wife couldn’t even console me,” Joseph tells Dr. Phil about learning that Laundrie wouldn’t speak with authorities. In the video above, Joseph reacts to the statement that Laundrie’s attorney released about the situation. On Monday’s episode, “Missing ‘Van Life’ Woman’s Father Speaks Out: The Dr. Phil Interview,” Joseph shares his thoughts about his daughter’s disappearance – and his gut feeling about the situation.
