SCS HR director passes away

Mar. 2—LAURINBURG — Scotland County Schools is mourning the recent loss of one of its own.

On Monday evening, Public Information Officer Meredith Bounds announced the death of Executive Director of Human Resources Donald Caudle.

Caudle had been at Scotland County Schools since December 2019.

"He was a great friend and colleague and made a lasting impression on everyone that he met," Bounds said. "He will be truly missed. We ask that you continue to keep the family of Mr. Caudle in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."

Counseling support is available for members of staff and the school system is unable to confirm the cause of death at this time.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
