Seacoast roundup: Parker, Cole pace Portsmouth girls soccer

PORTSMOUTH – Annie Parker and Avery Cole both scored two goals and the Portsmouth High School girls soccer team blanked Pinkerton on Thursday in a Division I match at Tom Daubney Field.

Portsmouth is now 6-0 on the season. It was the fourth shutout of the season for the Clippers, who have allowed just two goals on the year.

Portsmouth goalie Haley Coombs had nine saves.

Ailish Honda and Avery Ruhnke both scored for Portsmouth, while Abby Nersesian, Olivia McCormack and Annie Campbell all had one assist.

Dover 2

LONDONDERRY – Abbie Kozlowski scored both of Dover’s goals in this Division I loss. Megan Healy and Payton Denning each had an assist.

Londonderry improved to 4-3, while Dover is 1-4.

Winnacunnet 1

HUDSON - Maitri Clifford scored the lone goal for Winnacunnet (4-3) in this Division I match.

Winnacunnet goalie Kate Gagne had nine saves. Teammates Moxie Clifford, Mia Lantaigne, and Marisa Reuss all played well.

NEWMARKET – Tyler Napoletano scored both goals for Newmarket (1-1-3) in this Division IV match.

HAMPTON – Adyn O’Riordan, Mike Smith, Noah Souther and Alex Strater all scored a goal for Winnacunnet (4-3) in this Division I win.

Dylan Haugh, Andrew Alaniz, Zane Lepere and Owen Janetos each had an assist for the Warriors, who got 10 saves from senior keeper Tanyon Ziolkowski.

DERRY - Charlie Horgan scored both goals for Portsmouth in this Division I double overtime match,

Portsmouth goalkeeper Nico Cunha shined in net.

BEDFORD – The Blue Hawks saw their four-game win streak snapped in this Division I loss on the road.

PORTSMOUTH – Darla Mahoney and Charlotte Marston both had two goals for the Clippers in this Division II contest.

Mia Edwards also scored for the Clippers, who got two assists from Mahoney. Portsmouth is now 7-0 on the season.

Portsmouth goalie Samara Buck had two saves.

GOLF

Warriors win four-team match

HAMPTON – June Doerr carded a 1-over par 36 to lead Winnacunnet to a four-team win at Sagamore Hampton Golf Course.

Winnacunnet had a team score of 196, while Trinity (203), Portsmouth (207) and Goffstown (219) placed second through fourth, respectively.

Arjay Sidney and Noah Garafalo both shot a 39 for the Warriors, while Chris Berry had a 40 and Drew Marelli had a 42.

For Portsmouth, Jackson Barnes and Eli Poteet both shot a 40, while Shea Harrison had a 41, and Jake Carlisle and Andrew Padgett both had a 43.

Saints place third at Beaver Meadow

CONCORD – Will Mollica shot a team-best 6-over-par 42 for St. Thomas, but the Saints finished third in a four-way Division II match with Bow, Windham and Pembroke Academy at Beaver Meadow Golf Curse.

Bow’s Hunter Ducan’s shot a medalist round of 1-over-par 37,

Bow won the event with 203 points, while Windham (211), St. Thomas Aquinas (220) and Pembroke (230) placed second through fourth, respectively.

Cam Gunio shot a 43 for the Saints, while Lyndsay Butkus (44), Carlos Guenard (45) and Finn DeTolla (46) rounded out the top five.

Exeter sophomore cards a 33 in sweep

EXETER – Sophomore Jascha Johnston shot a medalist round of 33, lifting Exeter to a four-team sweep at Exeter Country Club.

Exeter had a team score of 186, while Bedford (195), Central (220) and Spaulding (223) placed second through fourth, respectively.

Luke Campbell had a 37 for the Blue Hawks, while Connor Allard and Andrew Degan both shot a 38.

Caleb Vinciguerra shot a 42 to lead Spaulding.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

York wins eight-team race

YORK, Maine – York had four runners place in the top eight and cruised to this eight-team victory.

York’s Aidan Ring covered the 3.1-mile course in 19 minutes, 07 seconds, placing fourth overall. Teammates Owen Spaulding (19:08) placed fifth.

York had a team score of 37, while Lake Region was second with a 46. Wells (51), Waynflete (106), Fryeburg Academy (131), St. Dominic’s (no score), Traip Academy (no score) and Seacoast Christian (no score) placed third through eighth, respectively.

York’s Ken Hermawan (19:13) placed seventh, while teammate Hayden Atkinson (19:20) was eighth.

Traip’s Andrew Brayne (19:29) was eighth.
