Seahawks get 1st look at new WR Marquise Goodwin on Monday
The Seattle Seahawks got their first look at wide receiver Marquise Goodwin on Monday after he formally signed his contract with the team.
āHeās extraordinarily fast. Heās a gifted athlete,ā coach Pete Carroll said after the Seahawks wrapped up their first OTA of the season. āHe came right out here day one and he still shows that he can fly.ā
Goodwin initially entered the NFL in 2013 when he was drafted by the Bills in the third round. After four years in Buffalo, he played the next three seasons with the Seahawksā division rivals, the 49ers. Goodwin then spent one year each in Philadelphia and Chicago.
āHeās a real disciplined route runner, and heās also a guy whoās played all the spots,ā Carroll continued. āSo Iām thinking that he will add something with what he brings athletically but also his background and his makeup and his versatility.ā
