The Seahawks signed wide receiver Tyler Lockett to a four-year, $69.2 million contract extension last week, and ESPN’s Field Yates recently revealed the details of said extension.

Lockett will carry a $9.25 million cap hit for the 2021 season, which gives the Seahawks a little more cap space to work with.

The contract extension will give Lockett incentives, notably roster bonuses down the line, and a $1.05 million escalation of his base salary if he totals 55+ receptions or 800+ receiving yards or at least eight touchdowns, per Spotrac.

The Seahawks will have one of Russell Wilson’s most reliable targets in Seattle through 2025, including what looks to be the remainder of the veteran’s prime years. Here’s hoping Wilson and Lockett will continue their strong connection in a pivotal year where it will be needed.
