Sean Clifford throws first NFL touchdown pass for Green Bay Packers in preseason debut

Former Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford made his preseason debut Friday night for the Green Bay Packers and drew plenty of reaction.

The former Nittany Lion completed 20 of his 26 passing attempts for 208 yards and a touchdown, but did throw two interceptions. He also added 27 yards on the ground on two carries in the Packers’ 36-19 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Clifford’s performance ran the gamut of what Penn State fans experienced throughout his six year career that featured four seasons of him starting as the team’s signal caller.

He had very high highs with multiple excellent passes, but also struggled with accuracy and decision making at times, resulting in two turnovers.
