Former Lakota West High School standout Sean Mahone, who played the past five seasons for the West Virginia Mountaineers, signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent, according to a tweet from @WVUfootball:

Mahone played in 55 career games at WVU - most in program history - with 35 starts. He was selected as 1 of 13 student-athletes in the nation for the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Team, and was a finalist for the William Campbell Trophy (Academic Heisman).

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Mahone graduated in May 2020 with his bachelor's degree in management information systems and graduated in May 2021 with his master's degree in business administration.

In 2021, he was voted All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by coaches after finishing as the second-leading tackler on the team - with 81 tackles (54 solo), a half sack, four tackles for loss, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

At Lakota West, Mahone was a two-year starter who made 94 tackles with five interceptions and two pass breakups in final two seasons.
