Dayton Police release photo, description of missing boy at Eastwood MetroPark

The search for a missing boy at Eastwood MetroPark continues on Sunday.

Dayton Police posted a picture and description of the missing boy on social media.

His name is Lucas Rosales, 7, listed as three feet tall, 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt with black sleeves and black pants with black Converse gym shoes.

More than 100 people from Dayton Police, Fire, Five River MetroParks, and ODNR, as well as several volunteer search groups searching for Lucas.

Eastwood MetroPark remains closed to the public while the search continues.

The search continues for a missing boy at Eastwood MetroPark Sunday.

The boy has been missing since 6:40 p.m. Saturday, when he was last seen fishing with his family, Five Rivers MetroPark rangers previously told News Center 7.

The boy has been described by law enforcement as Hispanic and 7 or 8 years old.

Saturday night rescue teams from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, as well as Dayton Fire Department, searched the water while Dayton police and rangers searched the grounds.

Drone teams from Huber Heights Police and Ohio State Highway Patrol also searched the area Saturday night but were called off due to the rain.

Dayton police posted on social media Sunday morning that crews are continuing to search the park and the public is asked to avoid the area as they investigate.

Five Rivers Metroparks said the park is closed as crews search.

“Law enforcement ask that the public refrain from entering the park, which may impede ongoing search and rescue efforts. Please check metroparks.org/alerts for more information on alerts and closures,” the park posted on social media.
