Search for Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups is underway in Kyiv's Obolon district
A search for Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups is underway in Kyiv's Obolon district, the district’s Territorial Recruitment and Civil Defense Center (TRC) reported on Facebook on Feb. 5, adding photos of checkpoints in the area.
Defense Sector 1, the Obolon TRC, the local police department, the National Police HQ’s representatives, and the 129th Territorial Defense Battalion are taking part in the search operation.

Earlier, Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces stopped a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group that tried to cross the border in the northeastern Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Serhiy Nayev reported on Telegram on Feb. 4.
Civilians living near the border with Russia in northern Ukraine should heed the advice of local authorities to evacuate amid daily enemy attacks, Nayev wrote on Facebook page on Jan. 17, adding that it was necessary to allow the Ukrainian military the ability to fully engage the invaders without endangering civilians.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service reported that Russian diversion and reconnaissance groups had recently concentrated in trying to enter Sumy Oblast.
In December, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said that Russian troops had intensified their sabotage and reconnaissance operations in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.
