Seattle Fire Department rescues man who fell into a barge

A man that fell into a barge was rescued by a crew from the Seattle Fire Department on Monday, according to Chopper 7 footage from the scene.

At about 1:08 p.m., crews responded to a confined-space rescue near the 3500 block of West Marginal Way Southwest.

According to medics, the man was unable to climb out of the barge.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder to lower a harness into the barge to carry the man out to safety.

Once he was removed from the barge, he was evaluated and transported to a hospital for further care.
