Muppet mania is forecast to be on the rise as SeaWorld Orlando celebrates Sesame Street Kids’ Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Among the events scheduled within the theme park’s Sesame Street Land is “Storytime With Big Bird” around his nest, character photo opportunities, chances to join the Everyday Heroes Club, an activity called Oscar’s Trash Art and, as usual, the Sesame Street Party Parade.

Making special guest appearances will be Baby Bear, Honker and Dinger, who are visiting for “a limited time,” SeaWorld says.

Everyday Heroes Club members will earn badges for bravery, helping and manners, allowing visitors to meet members of the Orange County Fire and Rescue teams and the Sheriff’s Office. First responder vehicles will be located in Sesame Street Land as well.

After Sesame Street Kids’ Weekend wraps up, SeaWorld will celebrate Julia’s birthday with special photo ops with the character on Jan. 24. And Elmo’s Birthday Celebration will be observed at the park Jan. 28-Feb. 3 with meet-and-greets, a DJ dance party and more photo opportunities. That event will include an Elmo-centric scavenger hunt and Elmo’s Birthday Storytime from his parade float.

These Sesame Street events are included with regular SeaWorld Orlando admission. For more information, go to SeaWorldOrlando.com.
