Sebring Ohio Historical Society plans its second Spring Fling on May 14.

The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. outside the Strand Theatre, at 126 N. 15th St. in Sebring.

This carnival-like event promises fun for the entire family with games, prizes, activities and food. The event will be held outside next to the Strand Theatre, 126 N. 15th St in Sebring.

The most popular event – a Chinese raffle – attracts many people. It will include at least 35 gift baskets. Visitors can purchase tickets to place in a corresponding bag for the item of their choice. Winners will be selected at 4 p.m.

A spring floral bouquet contest will be conducted at the Strand, and those interested should bring their home-grown bouquet of flowers and filler to the theater from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to register. The winning bouquet will be judged by penny vote and awarded a prize.

A new addition this year is a plant sale/exchange. Anyone may bring their plants to exchange or donate to the Strand from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. During the event, people may take plants in exchange or purchase them.

A concession stand will be open. A picture backdrop will be available for selfies. Games for kids and adults will award a prize every time. Temporary tattoos will be available for purchase. Have some fun at throwing a pie in the face of a well-known Sebring person!
