This week

BOYS BASKETBALL FUNDRAISER – The boys basketball team is selling Toni Ruggles pepperoni rolls. Each roll costs $6 and can be ordered from players or coaches. Orders are due by Friday, and will be delivered Nov. 22.

JUNIOR HIGH SENATE THANKSGIVING DRIVE – The Junior High Senate plans its annual Thanksgiving food drive from Nov. 8-18. Nonperishable food and household items will be collected in homerooms, and each item will be worth one point. Each day, a special donation item will be worth five points. Each homeroom in the High School and Junior High will compete against each other. The class earning the most points will receive a Chick-fil-A nugget tray. Special items are shampoo and hand, dish and laundry soap, Tuesday; paper products, Wednesday; cleaning supplies, Thursday; and dental care items, Friday.

Monday – No school.

Tuesday – Picture retake day at B.L. Miller Elementary.

Tuesday – Picture retake day at McKinley Jr./Sr. High.

Tuesday – 5 p.m. Junior High winter sports pictures.

Tuesday – 7 p.m. Sebring band will be represented in this year’s High School Honors Band at Malone University. Tickets can be purchased at www.malone.edu/academics/academic-departments/music/tickets/

Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Akron Children’s nurse practitioner Rachel Patterson will be at the Sebring schools if any student needs to be seen by a provider for a well visit, sick visit or immunizations. To schedule an appointment, call 330-543-7242.

Friday – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Muffins for Moms at B.L. Miller Elementary. Flier was sent home with details.

Friday – 8:30 a.m. - McKinley Jr./Sr. High School Veterans Day program. Open to the public. Area veterans are encouraged to attend.

Friday – 9:30 a.m. B.L. Miller Elementary Veterans Day program for grades 3-5. Open to the public. Area veterans are encouraged to attend.

Friday and Nov. 12 – 7:30 p.m. Sebring drama department production of “Fairy Tale Courtroom.” Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available during school hours at the high school office for $5, or can be purchased at the door for $6. As always, all veterans are free.

FOOD DRIVE – McKinley Junior High Senate seeks special items during its Thanksgiving Food Drive. For week of Nov. 14-18, special items are potatoes and gravy, Nov. 14; stuffing, Nov. 15; boxed dessert mixes, Nov. 16; peanut butter and jelly, Nov. 17; and a makeup day Nov. 18, which will give the class two points for any item on the list.

Nov. 16 – 6 p.m. P.I.E. meeting at B.L. Miller Elementary.
