SEC announces conference opponents for Ole Miss, Mississippi State basketball

The SEC released conference opponents for Ole Miss and Mississippi State for the 2022-23 season Wednesday.

Ole Miss will face Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri and South Carolina in home-and-home series.

The Rebels will also face LSU, Tennessee and Texas A&M at home and Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Vanderbilt on the road.

Mississippi State will play home-and-home series with Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The Bulldogs will take on Florida, Kentucky, LSU and Texas A&M at home and Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn and Vanderbilt on the road.

The SEC will release game dates, game times and television information at a later date.

Ole Miss is coming off of a 13-19 season, including a 4-14 mark in conference play. The Rebels lost their last five games of the 2021-22 season. Head coach Kermit Davis enters his fifth year with ESPN’s 12th-ranked high school recruiting class. Ole Miss also added four transfers to its roster ahead of this season.

Mississippi State enters the season under first-year head coach Chris Jans. He was announced head coach on March 20. Jans previously served as head coach at New Mexico State, where he led the program to a 122-32 record in five seasons.

The Bulldogs finished the 2021-22 season with an 18-16 record, going 8-10 in SEC play.
