New SEC exhibit opens at College Football Hall of Fame

Jul. 8—The College Football Hall of Fame opened its newest exhibit, "The Evolution of the SEC" as it prepares to host SEC Media Days.

The new addition highlights the birth and formation of the Southeastern Conference by showcasing game-worn jerseys, trophies and other memorabilia. All the current SEC member schools — Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt — will have memorabilia on display.

These artifacts give fans a chance to look into football's role in the culture, tradition and history of football within the conference.

The exhibit is now open for a limited time, Wednesday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., until December 2022 with purchase of a regular ticket to the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame expects to host this year's SEC Media Days, set for July 18-21.
