Second booster against COVID-19 to be available to everyone in Ukraine, says health ministry
Kuzin noted that the second booster dose is currently recommended for the elderly and people with serious co-morbidities, but in the near future adecision will probably be made on the second booster for everyone.
"We will recommend and give the opportunity to get a second booster for all people who express such a desire,” he stated.
“Such an option will be provided, I think, by mid-September. We’re saying that when a person goes to the vaccination point, they will not be refused a jab. Currently, the second booster can be administered only to people who have medical indications for it.”

The chief sanitary doctor added that if a person did not have time to do a booster or missed a dose, they should get vaccinated, because the full course better protects against severe COVID-19.
In July, Ukraine allowed a second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to be given to people over 60 years old, as well as those with chronic diseases. For the second booster dose, an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer) is used at an interval of at least four months after the first booster dose.
