New Second Harvest warehouse nearing completion

Nov. 10—The old warehouse used by the Brunswick branch of America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia could fit into one of the freezers of its new building.

At 55,000 square feet, Jennifer Floyd, manager of the local branch, said the new building at 2591 Sidney Lanier Drive is big enough to fit at least 10 of the old buildings in it. Second Harvest's current warehouse at 134 Indigo Drive is 5,000 square feet, not enough room for the Brunswick branch, which serves seven counties — Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, McIntosh and Wayne.
