Second man arrested, third wanted for felony murder in Milledgeville shooting

Police arrested a second youth and issued an arrest warrant for a third person Monday in the shooting that killed one teen in Milledgeville Thursday, officials said.

Malik Smith, 18, of Milledgeville was arrested and charged with felony murder in the shooting that killed Syee Devon Havior, 18, the GBI announced Monday. A youth was also in custody.

The GBI announced an arrest warrant for Jarius Washington, 19, for felony murder, making him the third person connected to the shooting.

Havior was killed during a home invasion, the GBI said. He was shot around 1 a.m. Thursday when multiple people arrived at his house and one person started shooting.

Havior was found at the scene and taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

It was unclear in the GBI statement Monday whether there are more suspects in the case, or which of the people arrested may have shot Havior.
