Second Passaic man dies after shootings in the city last weekend

A second man has died from shootings early Saturday morning in Passaic, county officials said Wednesday night.

Kyle Schneider, an 18-year-old from Passaic, died Wednesday after being found by city officers with gunshot wounds in the area of Harrison Street and Hope Avenue, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman said in a joint statement.

Schneider was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson on Saturday in critical condition.

Another victim, identified by officials as Edgar Guillen, 25, of Passaic, also had gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
