We’re Finally Getting Closer to Seeing Season 2 of ‘Dead to Me’
Remember when you ripped through the entire first season of Netflix’s original series Dead to Me a few months ago? And then, like, spent the next two weeks of your life frantically searching for theories about the second season? Samesies. It looks like we’re finally getting a little closer to resolving that brutal cliff-hanger the finale left us on, which is the best news in the whole entire world. Here’s absolutely everything you should know about the next season of this hilarious, thriller-y drama.
A second season is coming in May 2020!
Netflix announced that we’re getting more Dead to Me at the For Your Consideration Emmy panel! Season 2 will be released on May 8, so mark your calendars and get excited. In the meantime...here’s a cute picture Christina Applegate tweeted with Linda Cardellini at the panel.

The creator basically wants to make a million seasons.
“It would be the pleasure and honor of my life to do this show for as many seasons as makes sense. I would do this show forever if I could,” creator and showrunner Liz Feldman told the Hollywood Reporter.
Season 2 will be super dark.
If you identify as an optimistic Judy, I have some bad news. Feldman has hinted that she has some super-grim plans for a second season. (Which isn’t very surprising, given the content of the first season.)
“This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness, and friendship. So suffice it to say, there will be more darkness,” she says. “There’s an evening of the score and there’s a rebalancing that will take place and almost, in some ways, a role reversal.”

Feldman understands that she left us with some brutal cliff-hangers in the Dead to Me finale. She also says Steve’s death may have actually played out differently than we think. What does that even mean?!
