Second suspect arrested after man found dead near Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A second suspect is in custody related to a man found dead near the Las Vegas Strip, apparently shot to death.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials announced that Gennady Zhuravlyon, 48, was in custody on charges unrelated to the homicide. Police say upon his release from Las Vegas City Jail, he will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges related to the case.

On Sunday, April 28, just after 9 p.m., a man was found on the 800 block of East Sahara Avenue, apparently shot to death.

On Friday, May 3, Loth Rodriguez, 67, was arrested by law enforcement officials. He faces one charge of open murder with a deadly weapon and is being held with no bail. Rodriguez is due in court on Tuesday.

A booking photo of Gennady Zhuravlyon was not immediately available, police said.
