Section 4 football awards mount, this time from State Coaches Association

The New York State High School Football Coaches Association has weighed in, and kudos continue to mount for Section 4 in the wake of a three-championship, state-tournament showing.

Maine-Endwell (Class B), Chenango Forks (Class C) and Tioga Central (Class D) swept the organization’s Coach of the Year and Player of the Year awards, respectively — and notably include a two-way line stalwart among players receiving top billing.

2021-22 NYSHSFCA Awards

Skip Paradin Sevice Award: Joe Casarella, North Rockland-1

Hunter Low Media Sevice Award: Tim Birney, Southern Tier Sports Report-4

12th Man Award: James Taylor, Valley Central-9

Assistant Coach of the Year: Kelsey Green, Chenango Forks-4

Coach of the Year: Todd Cayea, Carmel-1; Player of the Year: Charlie McKee, Oceanside-8; Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Charlie McKee, Oceanside-8.

Coach of the Year: Casey Brown, CBA Syracuse-3; Player of the Year: Jack Cascadden, Garden City-8; Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Kai Colon, Minisink Valley-9.

Class C
