Section of interstate in Lexington shut down after tractor-trailer overturns

A section of I-75 in Lexington is shut down after a tractor-trailer truck overturned, according to Lexington police.

According to the Lexington Traffic Management Center, the accident happened at the ramp from I-75 southbound to I-64 westbound. That ramp is shut down along with the right lane of I-64 westbound to allow the towing company room to work.

Lt. Dan Truex with the Lexington Police Department said the accident was reported around 1 p.m. and the road is expected to be closed down for a significant amount of time.

No injuries were reported.
