Section of Main Street in Sulphur Springs closed for demolition

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (KETK) – The City of Sulphur Springs said that Main Street between Davis Street and Gilmer Street is closed for the demolition of a wall at 200 Main Street.

SCI Construction started taking the front wall down on Monday and traffic will continue to be blocked until the demolition reaches a safe level for one lane of traffic to pass through on Tuesday.

City officials said the entire process could take several days from next week to be completed. Traffic control signs have been posted downtown to let drivers know about the detours to take through the area.
