Kristin Boyd Edwards, a content writer and strategist for CEL Marketing PR Design, was recognized as an NSPRA Front-Runner during the National School Public Relations Association's (NSPRA) Annual Meeting and Celebration of Achievement on July 18 in Chicago. NSPRA Front-Runners are members identified as rising stars and emerging leaders for the national professional organization. Selection criteria include: doing outstanding work for their schools, their state chapters and the field of school public relations. The distinction is awarded to only four association members from across the country each year.

Boyd Edwards, a former newspaper reporter, previously served as communications director for Reading School District, where she earned national media coverage for the school district and received more than 60 state and national communication awards. At CEL Marketing PR Design, she assists schools and nonprofit organizations with strategic communications, brand messaging, media relations, content writing, and website and social media management.

A graduate of Reading High School and Temple University, she lives in Muhlenberg Township with her husband, Jermaine Edwards, and their sons, Jermaine II, Jayden and Jameson.

RKL LLP

RKL LLP recently welcomed five new team members to the firm across four different service lines and practice areas.

Russ Gladfelter rejoins the firm as a manager in the Tax Services Group, where he specializes in multistate and consolidated C Corporation and S Corporation entity structures. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Grove City College.

Tina Heinnickel, CPA, serves as a senior consultant in the Financial Management Solutions practice. She joins the firm with five years of public accounting and one year of private accounting experience, and was a small business owner for 11 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State University.

Stacie DeJesus joins RKL as a client success manager in the firm's Consulting Services Group. In this role, she manages, retains and expands client relationships. She has a bachelor's degree in speech communication with a concentration in public relations from Millersville University. DeJesus brings with her more than 18 years of integrated marketing experience, most recently at a marketing agency.

Oliver Arthur, CPA, CGMA, is a manager in RKL's Audit Services Group. His work focuses on public sector entities, including counties, municipalities and transit authorities. Arthur received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and brings with him previous experience in corporate and public accounting, including seven years of experience as an internal audit manager in county government.

Samantha Claar, CPA, rejoins the firm as a manager in the Audit Services Group. She has accounting and auditing experience serving clients in a wide variety of industries, including the public sector and construction industry. Claar specializes in employee benefit plan audits. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and management information systems from Shippensburg University.

Turnberry Construction Group

Robert F. Kresge has been promoted to the position of project manager at Turnberry Construction Group.

As project manager, Kresge's responsibilities begin when sites are put into contract. He assists with reviewing the plans to create a scope of the work while producing bidding packages for the tradesmen to better understand what is involved/expected in the build or renovation. From there, he helps with project coordinating by creating schedules to ensure the jobs run as smoothly as possible to completion.

He previously served as site superintendent for Turnberry. Kresge is a graduate of Reading High School.

RETTEW

RETTEW has announced that Elizabeth Helsel, design-build project manager, has been recognized as the 2022 Top Solar Designer by Solar Power World magazine. This award is part of the magazine's Top Solar Champions Awards, highlighting four individuals working at top solar contracting companies who have gone the extra mile in their jobs and in their solar advocacy efforts.

RETTEW was also selected as a Top Solar Contractor by Solar Power World, the premier media outlet for the U.S. solar market covering technology, development, and installation. The list comprises hundreds of solar contractors and developers across the U.S., including RETTEW ranked at No. 178.

Helsel earned her bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from Wilkes University, is a licensed EIT in the state of Pennsylvania, and holds a certification from the Construction Specifications Institute. At RETTEW, she manages all aspects of project design and permitting for her clients, and specializes in floating solar system engineering.

She recently completed the 3.3MWdc Jackson Floating Solar Array (the third largest in the U.S. and first application of the technology to deepwater quarries), which became operational in late 2021.
