Security guard stabbed multiple times in Los Angeles attack

An overnight security guard was stabbed multiple times during an attack at a shopping plaza in the Pico-Union neighborhood near Los Angeles’ Koreatown Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported shortly before 3 a.m. on West Olympic Boulevard near South New Hampshire Avenue.

Police said the security guard, believed to be in his 60s, called 911 after being stabbed twice by two suspects near PCB Bank.

Video from the scene showed the victim being loaded into an ambulance.

The unidentified security guard was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical but stable condition, police told KTLA.

It was unclear what led to the attack but fresh graffiti could be seen in the area.

Police have not released any information about the suspects or a possible motive.
