City spokesperson Chris Horgen said the measures are the same as in some recent performances such at the "Fluffy" Iglesias and Joe Gatto shows.

"The artist or promoter puts those guidelines in the contract for the venue. These guidelines are common across the performance industry," Horgen said.

"The press release was simply to encourage people to arrive early as there are expected to be long lines to get in because of the security measures that will be in place," he said.

All patrons will go through a screening check with a security wand.

Prohibited items include: weapons, backpacks, audio and video recording devices, glass cans, plastic bottles, food or beverages, explosives, laser pens, signs, posters and banners.

The program begins at 7 p.m.
