Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office releases photos from fatal deputy-involved shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has authorized the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office to release photos from the fatal deputy-involved shooting of 43-year-old Larry Armour from Wichita that happened on Thursday, Jan. 25.

The first two photos shared from the SCSO are stills taken from the axon body camera worn by the Sheriff’s deputy on the SWAT team.

“They depict Larry Armour threatening the resident,” the SCSO said.

The third photo was taken by the KBI. It is of the knife Armour was believed to be holding at the time of the shooting.

The SCSO says multiple knives were located in the room where the shooting happened.

An investigation is ongoing.
