The Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team defeated Oklahoma State 7-3 on Monday night in the NCAA Tournament Stillwater Regional.

The win sends Arkansas to the Chapel Hill Super Regional against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Arkansas relief pitcher Hagen Smith struck out OSU Cowboys designated hitter Griffin Doersching for the final out.

After the out, Razorbacks catcher Michael Turner ran out to Smith, and players stormed toward Smith from the Arkansas dugout.

ESPN broadcaster Lowell Galindo said after Smith recorded the strikeout, "It's time to call the hogs to Chapel Hill. Arkansas leaving Stillwater in the dust, advancing to the supers for the fourth straight time. Potential realized."

Arkansas improved to 43-19 overall. Oklahoma State ends 42-21 overall.

Smith earned the save for Arkansas. He threw the final two innings with four strikeouts, no hits and no runs.

Kole Ramage earned the win for Arkansas. He entered the game in the fourth inning and went 2 2/3 innings.

Dave Van Horn is the Arkansas baseball head coach. He took over the Razorbacks program ahead of the 2003 season. He was previously head baseball coach at Nebraska, Northwestern State, Central Missouri State, and Texarkana Community College.

During his tenure as Arkansas head coach, Van Horn has taken the Razorbacks to the College World Series in 2004, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2019. Prior to Van Horn, Arkansas also went to the CWS in 1979, 1985, 1987, and 1989.

In 2021, Arkansas finished the season 50-13 overall. NC State eliminated Arkansas 2-1 in the best-of-three 2021 NCAA Fayetteville Super Regional.

The 2022 College World Series is scheduled to take place June 17-27 in Omaha, Nebraska.
