SEE IT: Atlanta strippers star in ‘Get Your Booty to the Poll’ voting ad

Two Atlanta filmmakers and several dancers from local strip clubs teamed up to tell people to “Get Your Booty to the Poll” in November.
The public service announcement encourages people to vote, noting that local elections, particularly for district attorney can be just as important as presidential elections.
“Can’t make it rain if you locked up on some bulls---,” Imani, one of the dancers, says.
Director Angela Barnes and producer Paul Fox said on the group’s website that the ad is designed to “increase the voter turn-out amongst the black male demographic.”
Barnes responded to criticism of the ad on Twitter, writing, “I was NOT paid for this & used MY OWN MONEY & money raised from a GoFundMe to pay for it. Black people, especially Black men are ignored by our government & I want them to know they need to start paying attention.”
