Death on the Nile” is forging ahead with Armie Hammer, despite multiple rape allegations, but a new trailer for the Agatha Christie murder mystery has all but hidden his appearance.

The two-minute trailer, released Tuesday, showcases the movie’s star-studded cast, including Kenneth Branagh, Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Letitia Wright and Sophie Okonedo, but Hammer shows up in just a few seconds of footage and has but one speaking line.

That’s a far cry from the August 2020 trailer, which prominently featured 35-year-old Hammer, who plays Simon Doyle, the husband of Gadot’s character.

“Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short,” reads the official logline.

“Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this dramatic tale of love gone wrong features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.”

Since the 2019 filming of the flick, Hammer has been publicly accused of “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abusing a 24-year-old woman known only as Effie during their on-and-off four-year relationship.

“On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face,” Effie said in a statement in March. “He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent. For example, he beat my feet with a crop so they would hurt with every step I took for the next week. During those four hours, I tried to get away but he wouldn’t let me. I thought that he was going to kill me. He then left with no concern for my well-being.

“During and since this attack, I have lived in fear of him and for a long time I tried to dismiss his actions towards me as a twisted form of love. Now that he no longer has any power over me, I have come to understand that the immense mental hold he held over me was incredibly damaging on many levels.”

In a statement through his lawyer, Hammer denied any misconduct and said any activity was mutually agreed upon by both him and Effie.

Other women have also accused him of abusive behavior.

Despite that, Disney carried on with Hammer on the honeymoon cruise.

“Death on the Nile,” a sequel to Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express” and Branagh’s own 2017 adaptation, was originally planned for a theatrical release in 2020 but pulled from the schedule during the pandemic. It’s now set to premiere on Feb. 11.
