See it: Eli Manning picks up first fantasy football win thanks to ex-teammate

The year 2020 has been a year of many changes and firsts for former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

Manning, of course, officially retired from football in late January. And then, in May, Manning joined Twitter, shocking the world. And now, there’s this…

Manning was not shy to show he’s still paying close attention to his former team. But ultimately, it’s kind of surprising to see Manning is participating in a fantasy football league — especially with none other than loyal New York Jets fan Mike Greenberg.

The Giants do not play the Jets this season so Eli’s Week 1 fantasy win over “Greeny’s” team is about as close as we’re going to get.

Manning is obviously still loyal to Big Blue and drafted Sterling Shepard on his team and thanked him in his video.

Manning was the perfect face for the Giants and had a personality equipped to deal with the New York media during his career. He stayed off of social media and was even keel throughout his career. Although, many times you would find Manning being sneakily witty.

It’s nice to see Manning opening up a little during his post-playing career.
