See how far gas prices have plummeted in every state across the US since the start of the coronavirus pandemic
Gas prices have been dropping around the US due to the coronavirus pandemic and Saudia Arabia and Russia's decision to not cut oil production at an OPEC-Plus meeting on March 5 in Vienna, Austria.

Gas prices have been dropping across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2019, the average price of gas per gallon was $2.60, according to the US Energy Information Administration. Now, that could drop by over a dollar because of COVID-19.
GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis and media relations Patrick De Haan told Business Insider that he estimates the national average of gas prices could drop between $1.53 and $1.68 per gallon at its lowest, while president of Lipow Oil Associates Andrew Lipow estimates the average will drop to $1.75 per gallon by mid-April.
On March 5, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries-Plus (OPEC+) held a meeting in Vienna, Austria in response to the drop in global demand and price of oil because of the coronavirus.
While the expectation for the meeting was a cut in oil production to offset the crude oil price drop, the opposite happened due to the longstanding oil rivalry between Russia and Saudia Arabia.
As of April 6 at 4:50 pm., the average price of gas per gallon in the US is $1.90: down $0.86 per gallon from last year's average, and $0.49 from last month's average, according to data from GasBuddy.
