See fittingly larger-than-life mansion of Lee Iacocca, executive portrayed in ‘Ford v. Ferrari

The Tuscan-style mansion of famous American businessman Lee Iacocca—who was portrayed in the recent Oscar-nominated film “Ford v. Ferrari”—spans 10,682 square feet with five bedrooms and eight baths on over an acre near the Bel Air Country Club.

The Los Angeles estate is being sold by his daughter Lia Iacocca Assad, the Wall Street Journal reported, for $26 million.

Iacocca was the longtime president of Ford Motor Co. and chairman of Chrysler Corp. After introducing the Ford Mustang, he jumped over to Chrysler, where he launched the minivan concept, and saved the company from collapse after convincing the U.S. government to loan Chrysler $1.5 billion.

The auto tycoon died at age 94 in 2019 after battling Parkinson’s disease. He reportedly had a net worth of $150 million.

Shortly after stepping down as Chrysler chairman, Iacocca bought the home for $4.25 million in 1993, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Iacocca entertained stars such as Bob and Dolores Hope, Frank and Barbara Sinatra and Priscilla Presley in the mansion, which four ensuite guest rooms.

“My dad was really big on parties, especially birthday parties,” his daughter told the Wall Street Journal. “I remember him standing there laughing over cigars.”

The home includes a staff apartment, wood-paneled library with coffered ceiling and five fireplaces.

Large, spacious rooms open onto terraces to allow for large-scale entertaining.

“The Italianate-style home’s high ceilings, meticulous craftsmanship and sweeping rooms on the main floor make entertaining guests easy,” according to the official listing.

“The master suite has a living area larger than many mansions’ formal living rooms on a scale reminiscent of historical times when the aristocracy entertained guests in their private chambers,” wrote TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, which received permission from the listing agents to share photos of the property (see video above).

Mature landscaping accented with topiary cover the grounds. Outdoors, there’s a swimming pool, spa and tennis courts.
