SEE IT: Hiker stays calm, takes selfie as bear sniffs her hair
A hair-raising and dramatic viral video shows a woman on a hiking trail remain extremely calm and take a selfie as an inquisitive black bear approaches her and even sniffs her hair.
The incident reportedly occurred at Chipinque Ecological Park in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, over the weekend.
In the video, the woman tries to stay still as the bear paws at her legs before rising on its hind legs and sniffing her hair. After walking away the bear circles back and paws at the woman again when she moves back.
A man is heard yelling at the bear and telling the women to stay still until the bear leaves.
In another video, shot from a different angle, the woman clearly takes a selfie with the bear as it sniffs at her. Naturally, the photo was posted under one of the videos.
The bear did not appear interested in the other people the woman was hiking with or any of the other people on the trail.
Experts warn that most bears are not nearly as photogenic and encourage anyone who encounters a bear to make as much noise as possible to scare the animal.
