Workers with Fish Brothers House Moving out of Eastman, Georgia, moved the historic Fordyce-Kennedy-Pritchard House from McDowell Street to its new location at 2589 East Avenue on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023. Historic Augusta moved the 1870s home to avoid demolition and plans to renovate the building into a livable home. The home's original owner, John Fordyce, was a U.S. soldier with the Augusta Arsenal.
