See Kansas football score twice in 24 seconds to tie Liberty Bowl vs. Arkansas

Arkansas football was cruising to an AutoZone Liberty Bowl victory against Kansas on Wednesday in the fourth quarter at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Until it wasn't.

Kansas recovered a fumble, scored a touchdown, recovered an onside kick, scored a touchdown and converted a two-point try all in 2 minutes, 2 seconds of game time.

Let's go in chronological order. With the Razorbacks leading 38-23, Arkansas wide receiver Matt Landers fumbled on a reverse in Kansas territory, recovered by Kansas defensive back Cobee Bryant. It appeared that Landers' arm and elbow might have been down, but a replay review allowed the play to stand as called.

Jalon Daniels moved the Jayhawks down the field, including a 30-yard completion to Kevin Terry. The drive ended in a Douglas Emilien touchdown catch. The extra point was good, and Arkansas' lead was 38-30 with 1:05 left.

All Arkansas needed to clinch the victory was an onside kick recovery. The Razorbacks did not get the onside kick recovery. Kansas kicker Tabor Allen's onside kick was recovered by defensive back Kenny Logan Jr.

It took Kansas five plays and 25 seconds to score again. Daniels threw a strike to Luke Grimm over the middle for the touchdown, then converted the 2-point try to Lawrence Arnold to tie the game.

Arkansas' offense was unable to get into scoring position in the final 41 seconds, and the Liberty Bowl entered into OT.

The Razorbacks' lead was 38-13 at one point. Until it was erased.
