Here is a list of Kroger stores in the Cincinnati area getting upgraded self-check lanes
Kroger is nearly halfway through its plan to install larger, belted self-checkout lanes at more than 40 stores in Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.
Previously tested at just two stores in the Columbus area, Kroger announced in April it would roll out the upgrade to roughly a third of its local stores.

At the new lanes customers self-scan their items, then place them on a belt for a bagger to tuck in paper or plastic. The new option was developed for the customer who likes the speed of self-checkout, but somehow always has more than a half dozen items.
