SEE IT: Large black bear cools off in kiddie pool

Turns out a love of pool parties is shared across the animal kingdom.

Several parts of the U.S. are experiencing scorching summer weather and the animals have noticed it, too.

In a video posted on Facebook, a black bear is spotted trying to get comfortable while on its side in a kiddle pool, presumably because the large animal appears to take up all the space the pool offers.

Regina Keller, who shot the video, told CNN she’s been taking photos and videos of bears and several other types of wildlife for years since her property is so close to the remote George Washington National Forest in Fort Valley, about 100 miles west of Washington, D.C.

She said she was watering her plants when the bear, the biggest one she’d seen all year, came ambling over and hopped into the pool.

“He wandered around the backyard... and went over by the pool and dipped his big paw in the water... and then climbed right in and laid down,” Keller said. “He seemed so content and refreshed.”

Temperatures hit 97 degrees in Fort Valley on July 19, when Keller’s pool was occupied, according to Fox 23.

She said the bear napped and splashed in the pool for about an hour before it was scared away by the sound of her grandchildren arriving with their dogs.

Earlier in July, a black bear in Connecticut had a viral video moment after it was seen splashing around in an inflatable pool and sniffing at some floating toys. The uploader later commented that the bear also pooped in the pool.
