ESPN's "College Gameday" on Saturday saw Lee Corso pick Appalachian State football to beat Troy in his mascot prediction at the end of the show.

Elsewhere on the show Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit went with Appalachian State. Celebrity guest picker Luke Combs, who attended Appalachian State before pursuing music, went with the Mountaineers.

Corso is 3-0 on the season so far. Troy will face Appalachian State at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

"College Gameday" is in Boone, North Carolina for the first time for Troy-Appalachian State after the Mountaineers upset Texas A&M last week.

Corso has made a name for himself by picking game at the host location by putting on a mascot head since originally doing it at Ohio State in 1996. He has been on "College Gameday" since the beginning in 1987. Corso played at Florida State from 1953-57 before starting a coaching career.

Corso went 73-86 as a coach with stops at Louisville, Indiana and Northern Illinois.
